Intercultural Competency: Bridging the Gap Between Diversity and Inclusion

Proactively increase organizational intercultural competency with this interactive, thought provoking professional development. Intercultural competency addresses the underlying issues that affect our approaches to interaction with others. Think of workplace (organizational) culture as an iceberg; the iceberg is divided in two parts: the tip of the iceberg deals with obvious aspects like systems, structures, and policies. However, the lower half identifies hidden antagonist to workplace unification and understanding such as: values, beliefs, and perceptions which every member of the organization brings to work every day. When people are aware of their competency levels they can analyze their approaches to understanding all factors that hinder workplace synergy and prevent inclusion.
